Diving into Valletta’s LGBTQ+ History with Our Founder
Our journey kicked off with a very special experience led by Q Travel Malta’s founder, Artúr, who hosted a Queer Valletta History Tour for the “Grindr” team. We walked through the cobbled streets of Valletta, uncovering the rich and diverse history of Malta’s LGBTQ+ community. From the hidden alleyways that hold secrets of forbidden love to the grand architecture that witnessed pivotal moments in queer history, this tour was a vibrant exploration of how our community has thrived throughout the ages.
Artúr’s passion for sharing Malta’s stories shined through, and it was an incredible experience to see our Grindr traveller Jason and his local friend Rafa connect with the history and culture of this unique city. The Queer Valletta History Tour is more than just a walk; it’s a journey through time, celebrating the resilience and diversity that makes Malta such a welcoming destination.
Making Waves with Our Gay Boat Party
Of course, no visit to Malta is complete without enjoying its stunning coastline! We also organised a fabulous gay boat party for the team and our fabulous guests. Picture the scene: sparkling Mediterranean waters, a vibrant crowd, and a boat filled with music, laughter, and pride.
This event was the perfect way to soak up the sun, dance under the clear skies, and make new friends from all over the world. The boat party truly showcased the spirit of freedom and inclusivity that we celebrate every day at Q Travel Malta.
