🎭👸🏼 “Rajt Malta Timbaram” for Queens by Kwijns👑

9 Nights starting from 22nd December at Teatru Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta

Explore a new perspective on the history of Malta, offering insights never seen before. The Maltese islands have been inhabited for over 5,000 years BC. But what if those early communities were actually Drag Queens?

This unique time period was known as pre-hysterical, as the well-known hysteria of later eras had not yet emerged. The emergence of Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, and Byzantines followed. Subsequently, the Knights, French, and English arrived, but the original Queens persisted. Their nails remained long and shiny, wigs securely in place, and lipstick unfading! Let us celebrate the enduring queens who kept Malta on its toes and heels.

🎨 Spazju Kreattiv Presents: Sheepsbodies

7 December 2023 – 14 January 2024

This multidisciplinary exhibition aims at questioning the idea of self and questioning authenticity in a world that constantly presents us with endless, fast information and shifting standards. Exploring these themes and aided by Katarina Lennmarker’s curation and production management, visual artist Matthew F. Cassar, author Lara Calleja and musician Michael Azzopardi will create environments that mix and layer their three disciplines to co-create the exhibition. The author and the visual artist will collaborate on physical expression related to literature and social-media narrative, and the musician will develop a soundscape that heightens the sensory experience of the exhibition and the communicative narrative of the collaboration.
